Together in the cause of Nature
Two names that have always operated with transparency, passion and commitment in two different fields, united by a shared vision of the need to safeguard Nature.
Through THINK NATURAL Bormioli Rocco actively supports WWF Italy in its efforts to protect marine and terrestrial ecosystems by reducing over-fishing and pollution, and by promoting the institution of new marine protected areas and improving the handling of existent ones. Among the greatest dangers threatening the marine ecosystem is the increasing risk of extinction among various important species such as the Loggerhead Sea Turtle, menaced especially by the proliferation of various kinds of fishing devices such as deep-sea boulters, trawl-nets and fixed nets. Aided by Bormioli’s contribution, the Italian branch of the WWF will be able to continue to work to preserve this species through close collaboration with professional fishermen and through looking after injured turtles in special centres in Southern Italy until they are fit enough to be released once more into their natural habitat.
